Mitsuka Kiyohara
Hey there! My name is Mitsuka (or mitzy for short). I'm an incoming PhD student in Human-Centered Computing at Georgia Tech's School of Interactive Computing, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jennifer Kim.
I study how technology can scaffold human growth—particularly in the quiet, formative moments of adolescence. Blending HCI, design, and psychology, I aim to build human-centered tools that foster equitable education and mental well-being.
I previously completed my undergrad at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Prof. Khai N. Truong and NSF REU at the University of Washington with Prof. Julie Kientz. I am incredibly grateful to be supported by the Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation and the Masason Foundation.
Outside of research, I love Formula 1, astrophotography, manga/anime, and imagining a future where humans and AI can thrive together.
